Clarkson - Shoot-Out (Clarkson - Shoot-Out)
"2003 has been the best year for new cars ever. In this new DVD I put the best of the best to the test. But I’m not interested in reliability, fuel consumption or even cup holders. This is all about finding the car of the year that put the biggest smile on my face.....It’s all about excitement...

So I put the Bentley Continental GT head to head against the Rolls Royce  Phantom in a heavy metal drag race. I pitch the Mitsubishi Evo VIII against its old enemy the Subaru Imprezza Sti.

I choose the best road car you can use on a track and the contenders are the Lotus Elise, the Vauxhall VX220 Turbo and the new TVR350C.

There's a  supercar showdown between the Pagani Zonda and the Koenigsegg. And I throw down the gauntlet to the Lamborghini Gallardo, the Aston Martin DB7 GT, the Porsche GT3 and many, many more.
I also found time to put a new spin on the art of caravan towing  - flipping one on to its roof and hooking it up to a super fast Overfinch Range Rover. In fact, I had so much fun...I’m still smiling now. I'm sure you will too.

Bridget Jones - The Edge Of Reason [DVD]
Although it's been three years since we last saw Bridget (Renée Zellweger), only a few weeks have passed in her world. She is, as you'll remember, no longer a "singleton," having snagged stuffy but gallant Mark Darcy (Colin Firth) at the end of the 2001 film. Now she's fallen deeply in love and out of her neurotic mind with paranoia: Is Mark cheating on her with that slim, bright young thing from the law office? Will the reappearance of dashing cad Daniel Cleaver (Hugh Grant) further spell the end of her self-confidence when they're shoved off to Thailand together for a TV travel story? If such questions also seem pressing to you, this sequel will be fairly painless, but you shouldn't expect anything fresh. Director Beeban Kidron and her screenwriters--all four of them!--are content to sink matters into slapstick, with chunky Zellweger (who's unflatteringly photographed) the literal butt of all jokes. Though the star still has her charms, and some of Bridget's social gaffes are amusing, the film is mired in low comedy--a sequence in a Thai women's prison is more offensive than outrageous--with only Grant's rakish mischief to pull it out of the swamp. --Steve Wiecking

Oceans 13 - DVD (Oceans 13 - DVD )
BNIB

It comes as something of a relief to find that Ocean’s 13 eases itself back to the charm and suave, sophisticated swagger that underpinned the first in what’s become a trilogy of capers. And for those who endured the self-indulgent mess that was Ocean’s 12, this latest and final entry in the franchise is a very welcome treat, proving very much that lessons were learnt.

Dropping Catherine Zeta Jones and Julia Roberts from the cast list, but signing up the smaller matter of Al Pacino instead, the rest of the players remain broadly intact. So it’s George Clooney’s Danny Ocean who leads the team of cons, supported by Brad Pitt, Matt Damon, Andy Garcia, Don Cheadle and Carl Reiner. And it’s the easy chemistry between these and the rest of the team that underpin what makes Ocean’s 13 such an enjoyable ride.

The plot pits Ocean and his gang against Al Pacino’s ruthless casino boss, and while the script perhaps lacks the cleverness and dense plotting that worked so well in the first adventure, it still leaves plenty of room for outright entertainment.

The end result is an easy-to-enjoy caper, that’s not the equal of Ocean’s 11, yet far superior to Ocean’s 12. And considering it was released in the midst of a summer where threequels generally weren’t too well received, Ocean’s 13 arrives in fine shape, and rounds off the trilogy with real panache.
The most dazzling heist yet. George Clooney, Brad Pitt, Matt Damon and more team up again for a split-second caper that stacks the deck with wit, style and cool. Danny Ocean again runs the game, so no rough stuff. No one gets hurt
